Thread Lift

The revolution in aesthetic dermatology, replacing plastic surgery

No one can stop time. However, with the help of modern innovations in the field of aesthetic medicine, we can now quickly, easily and to a large extent completely safely remove its visible marks on our face and whole body. Until recently, problems such as pronounced nasolabial folds, disturbed facial contour, double chin and sagging skin were most effectively corrected with plastic surgery. Surgical procedures are not only expensive, painful and requiring a long recovery period, but in some cases also a dangerous means of beautification.

With the advent of procedures such as the injection of dermal fillers and mesotherapy, many patients have found in them an alternative to surgical rejuvenation. Unfortunately, their results do not always give an optimal effect. We have another solution. Because if no one can stop time, today we are witnessing how no one can stop the revolution in aesthetic dermatology and it provides us with the innovative method of thread lift

What is Thread lift?

Thread lift is more than just another aesthetic procedure. It combines different approaches in modern dermatology. Its main goal is to eliminate the signs of aging, including fine lines, deep wrinkles, sagging of the skin of the face and body, nasolabial folds, strengthening and tightening of dermal tissue, remodeling, stimulation of collagen production.

Experts define lifting threads as an effective anti-gravity tool. The reason is that through mesothreads we manage to completely or partially lift the skin and remodel the necessary areas of the face and body. Lifting threads are fine threads made of a specific material called polydioxanone. Its nature is the other innovation.

The compound has a biologically pure, resorbable and body-tolerable nature. After introduction into the dermal layer, in addition to mechanically lifting the tissues, within a few months polydioxanone is completely absorbed and decomposes into our body’s biologically available water and carbon dioxide. The latter are not retained in the skin, but are expelled from the body through a natural metabolic pathway. During this process, neocollagenesis is activated. It stimulates the renewal of the skin through the formation of new, healthy and stronger than the available collagen fibers.

What is achieved?

Although the threadlifting procedure with PDO threads is new in modern aesthetic medicine, specialists already have real observations of its effect. They define it as quadruple. The reason is that it simultaneously achieves:

  • Skin Rejuvenation – the main target result, being expressed in lifting, smoothing and restoration.
  • Beautification – makes it possible to reduce imperfections that have already appeared as a result of old age, unsuccessful liposuction and other skin defects.
  • 3D modeling – brings the innovative nature of the procedure, as it allows transformation of the silhouette and contour.
  • Improves microcirculation.

Which areas are suitable for thread lift?

The threads can be applied on different parts of the face, but also on a number of body areas. It is most often recommended for:

  • The lower part of the face;
  • Eyelid and the area around the eyes;
  • The entire facial contour;
  • Nasolabial folds;
  • Chin;
  • Auricle;
  • Forehead;
  • Neckline;
  • Neck;
  • Lips;
  • Seat parts;
  • Thighs;
  • Hands;
  • Legs;
  • Stomach;
  • And others at the discretion of a medical professional.

Who is the procedure suitable for?

Thread lift with mesothreads is suitable for any gender. It is traditionally recommended to people over 30 years of age, as this is when the first signs of aging are noticed. It is also possible to apply it to younger patients – especially in the case of correcting birth defects or as a result of trauma or surgical interventions.

Compatibility

Many patients are concerned that threadlifting cannot be combined with other different aesthetic procedures already applied to them. In fact, in some cases, such a combination is counterintuitive. At the same time, modern experts claim that the most popular modern aesthetic procedures with a similar end result are compatible with threadlifting and the combination leads to better aesthetic results. Procedures with which threadlifting could be combined include:

  • Dermal fillers;
  • Botox;
  • Microneedling;
  • Mesotherapy;
  • Plasma therapy;
  • Laser rejuvenation;
  • Chemical peeling;
  • Other procedures to remove pigmentation, broken capillaries and acne scars.

Comparison with other similar procedures

Due to its “delicate” age in the field of dermatology and cosmetology, thread lift is still confused with other similar or just sounding identical procedures. In our aesthetic center, we want each patient to receive not just the best treatment and service, but the most appropriate service according to their needs and current condition. That is why we feel obliged to explain in detail each of our offered services in advance, including the differences between them and others.

  • Thread lift and mesotherapy. In mesotherapy, various active ingredients are introduced into the skin, according to its needs, and this procedure does not achieve the effect of lifting the tissues, which is possible with threadlifting.
  • Thread lift and surgical lifting. With facelifting, in most cases, a dramatic change of the features is achieved, while in thread lifting, a much more delicate intervention in masking a specific defect is possible.
  • Thread lift and injection of dermal fillers. Dermal fillers can create volume in certain areas, but not remodel the lost contour or sagging skin.

The procedure – what to expect?

Does it hurt? How long will I recover? When can I have the procedure? These are the main questions that worry our patients regardless of the specific service for which they came to our aesthetic center. That is why we always explain chronologically and in detail how each of our procedures is carried out. Very briefly here we will also explain what to expect from thread lift:

  • Duration: a maximum of an hour, including the preliminary preparation of the skin;
  • Pain: a local anesthetic is placed in the area where the lifting threads are inserted, thanks to which the discomfort is reduced to minimum;
  • Process: through a special guide needle with a blunt tip that makes the process gentle on the skin, and extremely precise introduction of the modeling threads;
  • The frequency of application: depends on the individual condition of the treated area, but most often a repeat procedure is recommended after 6-12 months;
  • When the final effect is visible: immediately, as in the next 90 days it is enhanced as a result of new collagen production and tissue renewal;
  • Recovery period: maximum up to an hour after the procedure, the treated area is calm, and in rare cases a slightly unpleasant sensations are possible.

Side effects

They are rare. However, with more sensitive skin and weak capillaries, it is possible to experience side effects from thread lift. They subside most often in a few days, two weeks at the most. The following side effects are possible:

  • Miniature bruises on the skin;
  • Redness;
  • Slight swelling;
  • Increased sensitivity in the treated area.

What not to do after thread lift?

During the consultation regarding our lifting procedure, each patient will receive a complete list of instructions for allowed, recommended and prohibited actions after it. After the procedure the experts advise:
